We know keeping your bedroom tidy can be a challenge when you have lots of clothing and have a tendency to just drop clothes on the floor or drape them over your treadmill that you now use as a coat rack. There are some very simple things you can do to get hold of your clothing that's hanging out of your drawers and spilling out of your closet or hamper!
After you've washed your clothes and they are fresh out of the dryer, immediately place all shirts, jackets, dresses and skirts on hangers to hang in your closet. Portable clothing racks next to the dryer are very useful to get clothing on hangers quickly. Always have more hangers than you think you will need as a rule. Fold all jeans, slacks, socks and underwear to go into drawers or on shelves. Keeping all of the pants folded and in drawers/on shelves accomplishes two things: First, pants are easier to find and look through when folded in drawers or on shelves. Secondly, it frees up space in your closet to hang more. Its easiest to hang up pajamas too! Hang up everything you can and you will never have a problem finding your clothing and it keeps everything off of the floor which is the goal. When you get undressed, your clothing should either be tossed into the hamper or back on another hanger.
Next, make space in the closet for a hamper/basket to hold dirty clothes. This way, when you come home after a busy day all you will need to do is put the dirty clothes in the basket and reach for fresh clothes to wear. Keeping all clothing on hangers is the easiest way to keep them off of the floor and off of your treadmill!
